+ Esta mañana he ido en busca de un nuevo sitio donde comprar madera. Alguno con más surtido y precios más competentes que el lugar donde habitualmente suelo surtirme. Me he hecho con madera de fresno para uno de los proyectos que este Otoño verán la luz. El proyecto no es otro que una tabla para quesos, cortar pan, etc.
+ He elegido el fresno por ser una madera semidura. Fácil de trabajar y resistente a los impactos, por ello se emplea en la fabricación de herramientas... bates de baseball...e incluso fender la emplea para algunos de sus modelos. Además presenta un veteado hermoso y una calided cromática muy apta para servir y presentar comidas.
+ This morning I went looking for a new place to buy wood. I've made with ash wood for a project that will be released this fall. The project is none other than a cheese board, bread cutting, etc..
+ I have chosen the ash being a semi-hard wood. Easy to work and impact-resistant, so is used in the manufacture of tools ... baseball bats ... and even fender uses it to some of their models. It also features a beautiful grain and color quality quite suitable for serving and presenting food.
+ Dediqué gran parte de la tarde a cepillar la madera y a definir el diseño formal de la tabla.

+ El resto de la tarde fue muy arty. Mis hijos estuvieron pintando los triángulos con los que juegan a construir formas y yo a esbozar lo que será otro de los proyectos para este Otoño. Una caja de madera.
